Being a new parent is exhausting. Between all the preparation, the actual birth, the lack of sleep, the new schedules…that first year is a complete whirlwind.
Been there, done that – three times over.

My favorite thing about this job (besides the baby snuggles) is the opportunity to give new parents a safe haven during their sessions. Often, it’s the first bit of time after birth where they have a chance to relax. My goal is to take care of everything – from props to snacks to sitter outfits – so once your session is scheduled, all you need to do is get to the studio.

I graduated with a degree in elementary education from the University of Iowa in 2006. Afterwards, I spent most of my teaching career working with infants and young children with disabilities. Rest assured, I have the patience and training (and occasional older sibling bribery with fruit snacks) to ensure your session is a success.

Currently, I live in Cedar Rapids with my husband of sixteen years and our three kids. You can find us cheering for the Hawkeyes, ordering Mexican takeout way too often, and family games of Mario Kart on the Switch.
