Always a family of five {Cedar Rapids family photography}
Not gonna lie…this is one of my favorite families everrrrrrrrrr! I’m very biased though – we’ve been good friends for ten years now. I can’t believe how much their kiddos have grown since their family session last year. Our session this year was very special – it was on their son Jesse’s birthday. Jesse was born still in 2011, and the C family works hard to honor him and keep his memory alive. They take Jesse’s birthday off of work and school every year, send balloons to him, and go out to dinner. They also include his “Jesse puppy” in some of their family pictures. It was such an honor to capture their balloon release for him this year, and so much fun to chase Alex and Ashlynne around later on – we even ended up playing at the playground until dark (you know, back when “dark” wasn’t 4:30 PM…sigh!).
