In hospital newborn photography – summertime baby girl {Fresh 48}
This mama is very special to our family, so when she asked me to do in hospital newborn photography for her baby girl, I couldn’t have been happier. She’s part of our older daughter’s therapy team and Ellie just absolutely adores her. We’ve been so lucky to have people like Amanda who go above and beyond for our little girl!
Amanda was SO ready to meet her daughter – she was a week overdue in July and just wanted that baby out! Having two summer babies myself, I completely understood. She was a rock star during a very long labor, and had such a supportive husband and doula to help her through. You could tell she was absolutely in love with the daughter she had met just a day before, and the rest of her family was as proud as could be.
In hospital newborn sessions (AKA Fresh 48 sessions) are some of my very favorites. There’s something so special about walking into a hospital room and meeting that fresh new bundle. Everyone is so excited and enamored with their newest little one, and the newborn exhaustion hasn’t quite hit yet! 🙂 Those first few days go by in a haze of diapers and feedings, and soon you’ve forgotten all those little details. I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen for our sweet friend. This style of photography is also so dear to me because it’s just real life. As much as I love posing newborns for traditional portraits, there’s nothing like those authentic moments that can’t be staged.
I can’t wait to see who Charlotte is going to become. Here’s a peek into our session – thank you, S family!
