It\u2019s also a good idea to check to see if your birthing facility allows all of these options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consider your priorities: Think about what\u2019s most important to you during your childbirth experience. This could include having a specific person present, having a specific type of pain management, or delayed cord cutting. It\u2019s also important to consider your preferences after the baby has arrived. Some things to think about are immediate skin-to-skin contact with your baby, breastfeeding vs. formula feeding, pumping, meeting with a lactation consultant, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consider all possibilities: You will likely have an idea of how you would like your labor and birth to go, but it\u2019s important to consider all possible outcomes and communicate your preferences to your doctor and support person.
