Letters to our Children – September 2014

Dear E & E,

While August was mostly about keeping our heads above water, September was all about finding our groove as a family of four.  Managing Ellie’s therapy plus Evie’s newborn schedule (if there is such a thing) has been a learning curve…not to mention just the day-to-day minutiae of keeping our family fed and our house (relatively) presentable.  We made a couple trips to the library and the park, went for lots of walks in the gorgeous weather, and had some quiet weekends at home.

One of these weekend mornings, there was absolutely gorgeous light in our bedroom.  I grabbed my camera and threw you girls on the bed…and I am SO glad I did.

Ellie, you’re starting to string more words together and I’m so proud of you for it.  Even when you can’t get the right words to come out, you still definitely make it known what you want!  Your walking is more confident, and you went on the big girl swings at the park for the first time!  You really are becoming such a little girl, and you are so much fun.

Evie, I can’t believe how you’ve grown this month.  Suddenly you’re smiling and cooing at me all the time!  You are NOT a fan of being put down, so you and your sister keep me hopping all day long.  Your head control is getting really good, and you love to nurse and snuggle.

We are going to have so much fun this fall…I can’t wait to see what October brings!

Love,
Mommy
